The unique clamping system on the Gunnar 601 RS allows you to cut to the absolute edge of the mat board with very little wastage. With the 40 x 61 inch table size, you can be confident to oversized mat boards. With the 601 RS we could even cut foam board up to 5mm (0.2″) thick for picture frame backings with a perfectly square edge.

With the split clamping zones you can double your production with two separate cutting zones which is utilised by a single operator. You have the ability to cut combined v-grooves and openings in one step, there is no need to adjust or change the blade when cutting mat boards. This feature will allow you to mass produce double mats in one single step.

You can adjust the angle of the table and there won’t be any gravity related problems with your off cuts slipping down and interrupting subsequent cuts. The cutter blade can be changed in seconds and the aluminium base board will not warp.
